fanclubwallet’s unique brand of indie rock is pretty much impossible to dislike. The charming lo-fi sound is driven forward by playful, distorted guitar chords, bouncing drums and punky synth riffs, but, of course, it is the Canadian artist’s grinning lead vocal that really grabs your attention. ‘Gr8 Timing!’ was written “while reflecting upon some things that were said to me during a breakup. It's about realizing that everyone has a mean streak (even yourself!) and sort of a self-reflection on the lies you can tell yourself in a relationship to convince yourself that someone is good for you - even if they're not.” The track comes alongside the announcement of fanclubwallet’s debut album, You Have Got To Be Kidding Me, which is due for release on May 20^th, 2022. -Dan Peeke
